About the Role
Coronation Merchant Bank, a strong emerging merchant banking franchise in Nigeria, is seeking an experienced FX Trader to join our Treasury team. You will execute foreign exchange transactions, manage currency risk, and capitalize on market opportunities while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Execute spot, forward, and swap FX transactions for the Bank and clients with precision and efficiency
- Monitor FX market trends, rates, and liquidity conditions in real time to identify trading opportunities
- Manage the Bank's FX trading positions within approved limits and risk parameters
- Price and quote competitive rates for corporate and institutional clients
- Ensure full compliance with CBN FX guidelines and internal risk management policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, correspondent banks, and clients
- Collaborate with Treasury Sales, Risk, and Settlements teams on trade execution and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience as an FX Dealer in a bank or financial institution
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian FX market and CBN regulatory framework
- Proven track record in FX trading and risk management
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and decision-making skills under pressure
- Relevant certifications such as ACI Dealing Certificate (preferred)
