About the Role
Bema Integrated Services is a dynamic and faith-driven organization and Christian Music Ministry dedicated to spreading the message of Christ through music. We are passionate about using technology to enhance our ministry and connect with audiences worldwide. Bema Integrated Services Ltd is hiring a frontend-strong Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer to help develop, maintain and safely evolve BemaHub, an existing production platform supporting campaigns, participation, payments, digital content and operational workflows. This role is best suited to an engineer who is strong in Next.js and React frontend development but can also work confidently across APIs, WordPress/PHP and MySQL when required.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain responsive, production-quality frontend features using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
- Create reusable frontend components and correctly handle loading, error, empty and authenticated application states.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and existing backend services.
- Read, debug and make focused changes to WordPress/PHP backend code.
- Work with MySQL schemas, persistence and application data relationships.
- Trace and troubleshoot issues across the frontend, API, backend and database layers.
- Implement forms, validation, authentication and authorization flows securely.
- Work safely within an existing production codebase rather than unnecessarily rebuilding functioning systems.
- Use Git confidently for branches, commits, pull requests and collaborative development.
- Review and test code for regressions, incorrect assumptions, security issues and data contract problems.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly while independently validating the resulting code.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals with practical React and Next.js experience.
- Strong HTML, CSS and responsive frontend-development skills.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling authentication and error states.
- Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress, or demonstrated ability to become productive quickly.
- SQL and MySQL fundamentals along with Git proficiency.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability across multiple application layers.
- A Bachelor Degree or HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of two years of relevant software-development experience.
