About the Role
Payzeep is a leading fintech platform empowering individuals, SMEs, and organizations to seamlessly make, receive, and process payments, accept deposits, and complete business transactions. We are looking for an ambitious and talented Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications that deliver exceptional customer experiences across our digital products. In this role, you will build scalable, high-performance interfaces that support our core financial services while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces and reusable frontend components.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality applications and integrate frontend systems with robust backend APIs.
- Implement frontend security best practices, including input validation, XSS and CSRF protection, and secure data handling.
- Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS guidelines and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 across all user touchpoints.
- Optimize application performance, cross-browser compatibility, and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Collaborate actively in Agile ceremonies with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of total relevant software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience building frontend applications in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Solid understanding of web security, REST/GraphQL APIs, and micro frontend architecture.
