In this role, you will inspire students, foster a deep appreciation for nutritional science, and drive academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and deliver engaging Food and Nutrition lessons to Senior Secondary School students in accordance with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Prepare students comprehensively for major external examinations including WAEC, NECO, and UTME.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, practical demonstration sessions, and instructional materials that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory and classroom environment for all practical food and nutrition classes.
- Participate actively in school co-curricular activities, parent-teacher conferences, and departmental meetings.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Education, or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience, specifically preparing senior secondary students for WAEC, NECO, and UTME examinations.
- In-depth knowledge of food science, dietary planning, culinary arts, and Nigerian nutritional standards.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to integrate modern digital tools into everyday teaching.
