About the Role
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, operator of the flagship OML 30 asset in the Niger Delta, is seeking a meticulous and driven Flow Station Operator to join our dynamic Operations department. Established in 2016, we are committed to exploring underappreciated oil and gas basins while creating sustainable value for our stakeholders, host communities, and shareholders. In this critical on-site role, you will be responsible for monitoring operational parameters, ensuring plant safety, and maintaining optimal production efficiency across our facilities in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor operational parameters in the field and perform routine logging in designated log-sheets.
- Execute safe system shutdowns and startups as required by operational demands.
- Maintain seamless communication with the control room regarding area parameters during regular operations, startups, and shutdowns.
- Top up oil and cooling systems and monitor online chemical injection systems where applicable.
- Provide comprehensive shift-handover briefings to incoming teams to sustain and improve plant performance.
- Perform scheduled daily, monthly, and quarterly equipment checks and maintenance activities.
- Immediately report any operational abnormalities to the Control Room Supervisor, Operations Team Lead, or Plant Manager.
- Apply rigorous Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols and system isolations to condition systems safely prior to maintenance.
- Ensure post-maintenance area housekeeping and verify safe conditions before restarting normal operations.
- Identify, report, and proactively address unsafe working conditions in the field.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
- Basic practical understanding of maintenance and operational requirements for oil and gas equipment.
- Familiarity with standard oil and gas industry terminology, static equipment, and rotating machinery.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in technical report writing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and written and oral English fluency.
