About the Role
Grand Oak Limited, a leading pan-African conglomerate, is looking for an analytical and proactive Fleet Tracking Analyst (Excel Expert) to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining supply chain efficiency by tracking vehicle movements, managing transit risks, and generating vital operational reports.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor real-time truck movements, GPS tracking systems, and fleet management platforms to ensure 100% vehicle visibility during transit.
- Maintain seamless communication with drivers, transport providers, and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and manage updates.
- Identify and escalate transit delays, route deviations, security threats, and mechanical breakdowns immediately.
- Ensure transporter compliance with approved routes, journey management procedures, pre-trip inspections, and valid Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance.
- Produce accurate daily reports on truck movements, delivery statuses, detention times, depot operations, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using advanced Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in logistics, fleet monitoring, or transportation operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Hands-on experience working with GPS tracking systems and modern fleet management software.
