About the Role

Transport Services Limited, a leading fully integrated product handling and logistics company in Nigeria, is seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supervising fleet maintenance and operations, ensuring the maximum availability, safety, reliability, and efficient utilization of our commercial trucks. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the inspection, repair, maintenance, and servicing of all fleet vehicles to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance schedules closely and minimize vehicle downtime across all operational regions.
  • Provide expert technical support and stringent quality assurance on all fleet maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and report efficiently on fuel consumption, tyre usage, spare parts inventory, and overall maintenance costs.
  • Ensure total fleet compliance with Nigerian safety standards and relevant transport regulations.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Operations, Finance, HSSEQ, and external vendors to maintain smooth fleet operations.
  • Guarantee that all vehicles are thoroughly inspected, fit, and available for daily operational use.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet records while generating comprehensive operational reports.
  • Support the rapid and timely recovery of broken-down vehicles and field assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in fleet management, maintenance, or a similar logistics role.
  • Advanced knowledge of fleet management software systems and modern vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Solid, hands-on understanding of diesel and gas engine mechanics and complex vehicle systems.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with exceptional report-writing and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with a sense of urgency and effective time management.
