About the Role
MAX is revolutionizing Africa’s last-mile delivery and online-retail landscape by leveraging advanced mobile and web platforms to seamlessly connect consumers, retail businesses, and independent drivers in real time. We are currently looking for a dynamic Fleet Operations Manager to oversee our vehicle fleet in Nigeria, ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and strict adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate digital records of all vehicles and their status within your jurisdiction using our proprietary VAMS platform.
- Coordinate end-to-end vehicle setup, documentation, and timely activation within defined budgets and timeframes.
- Manage comprehensive vehicle maintenance schedules, liaising with Authorized Service Workshops, OEMs for warranty tracking, and handling insurance claims.
- Oversee the rapid assessment, refurbishment, and recertification of deactivated or churned vehicles to support growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage direct reports to foster high team morale, accountability, and seamless cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in fleet management, logistics operations, or tech-enabled mobility startups.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, including Excel and Google Sheets, alongside strong budgeting capabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing computerized maintenance management systems, OEM warranties, and insurance claims.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills suited for a fast-paced environment.
