About the Role

MAX.ng is on a mission to revolutionize Africa's last-mile delivery and mobility sectors by leveraging innovative mobile and web platforms to connect consumers and drivers. We are currently looking for a dedicated and analytical Fleet Officer to join our dynamic team in Ibadan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting our overarching logistics goals across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-maintenance and post-maintenance inspections and road tests to determine required repairs and verify quality standards.
  • Monitor the judicious utilization of spare parts and collaborate with management to improve vehicle maintenance checklists and routines.
  • Perform regular audits at Authorized Service Workshops to ensure adherence to MAX operational standards and protocols.
  • Assess vehicles slated for refurbishment, inspect replacement parts for quality compliance, and guide technicians on industry best practices.
  • Manage administrative duties such as maintaining accurate job cards, overseeing technician training programs, and documenting maintenance logs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of cognate experience working as a vehicle technician or handling fleet management operations.
  • Strong understanding of fleet management principles and inventory control practices.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office suite and Google Workspace tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
