About the Role

We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven First Mile & Last Mile Manager to lead our regional logistics operations in Owerri or Asaba. In this critical role, you will be responsible for supervising pickup and delivery execution, driving performance improvements, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of First Mile and Last Mile operators to ensure timely and accurate execution of daily pickup and delivery operations.
  • Assign daily tasks and optimize routes based on workload, priorities, and specific customer requirements.
  • Provide continuous guidance, training, and support to enhance team productivity, skills, and overall performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery rates, customer satisfaction scores, and vehicle utilization, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders such as Warehouse Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service to streamline logistics processes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of delivery activities, driver performance, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in logistics operations, transportation, or delivery services.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a leadership or supervisory role managing operational teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills suited for a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using logistics technology tools such as GPS tracking systems and route optimization software.
  • Must be resident in or willing to work based in the Owerri or Asaba region.
