About the Role
Craneburg Construction Company, one of Nigeria's largest and most diversified private construction groups, is seeking a skilled Finishing Concrete Foreman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing concrete finishing operations on major construction sites, ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate concrete finishing crews, labourers, and site personnel during operations.
- Oversee concrete placement, levelling, screeding, floating, trowelling, edging, and curing activities.
- Ensure concrete surfaces adhere strictly to required levels, slopes, and dimensions.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements for precise execution.
- Collaborate with Site Engineers and Project Managers to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Inspect works continuously to identify and rectify defects like cracks and honeycombing.
- Enforce site safety regulations, proper PPE usage, and conduct daily toolbox talks.
- Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and material requirements efficiently.
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Building Technology.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in concrete works, with a strong supervisory background.
- Proven expertise in supervising finishing activities across building and infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete surface treatment, placement, and curing methods.
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings and operating finishing equipment.
