We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and driven Financial Reporting Accountant to join our expanding team of professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to help our diverse clients make informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in full compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
- Analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights to support client strategic decision-making.
- Ensure the absolute accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of all financial records and reports.
- Perform regular general ledger account reconciliations and swiftly resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in drafting high-level management reports, financial dashboards, and board packs.
- Facilitate smooth internal and external audit processes by preparing accurate schedules and documentation.
- Ensure timely compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams and external clients to streamline financial reporting workflows.
- Monitor ongoing financial performance to identify emerging trends, financial risks, and growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, auditing, or accounting, ideally gained within a financial consulting or professional services environment.
- Working knowledge and strong application of IFRS and modern financial reporting frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP tools.
- An active professional qualification or ongoing progression towards ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is a distinct advantage.
