About the Role
LOTUS Bank, a leading non-interest Nigerian institution rooted in ethical banking and Islamic finance, is seeking a commercially astute Financial Control Manager / Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO) to join our dynamic leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will provide strong financial oversight, drive financial reporting excellence, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead financial control, reporting, and accounting operations to ensure absolute precision.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of statutory financial statements and management reports.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and organizational performance management.
- Strengthen financial controls, corporate governance, and strict compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements.
- Partner with executive business leaders to provide actionable insights supporting strategic commercial decisions.
- Support the CFO in formulating and executing the organization’s overarching financial strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team committed to operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or global equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with substantial background in financial control and senior finance leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory frameworks, and internal control systems.
- Proven leadership, analytical, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Prior experience within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated sector is a strong advantage.
