About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, part of the global PZ Cussons Group, is seeking an experienced Financial Control & Compliance Lead to strengthen our financial governance framework. Key Responsibilities- Serve as subject matter expert in financial risks, controls, and entity-level controls across PZ Cussons and the wider group
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships across all business levels, from operational teams to Board level, fostering a culture of risk awareness and three lines of defense understanding
- Oversee tracking, monitoring, and reporting of internal and external audit remediation actions
- Conduct proactive financial risk analysis and develop pragmatic control improvement solutions with stakeholder buy-in
- Lead special financial control projects and investigations, providing expert support to business areas
- Perform comprehensive analytics and testing to identify compliance gaps and process inefficiencies
- Deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and trend analysis to senior management
- Ensure adherence to external regulatory requirements and internal group policies
- Develop and implement innovative initiatives to enhance testing methodologies, training, and compliance communication
- University degree in relevant field
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) or internal/external audit certification
- Minimum five years' post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in ICFR/SOX environments within multinational organizations
- Advanced competency in financial controls, risk management, and systems & processes
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with ability to challenge financial processes
- FMCG industry experience highly preferred
