About the Role
Matrix International Academy, a leading private institution in Gombe State, Nigeria, is recruiting a dedicated Financial Accounting Teacher to join our Secondary School faculty. Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive accounting lessons aligned with the school's dual curriculum framework
- Create engaging lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools for secondary school students
- Conduct practical accounting exercises and case studies to enhance student understanding
- Assess student progress through examinations, assignments, and continuous evaluation
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in curriculum planning and staff development activities
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and analytical skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency and academic standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Valid teaching certification or qualification (PGDE, TRCN certification, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of secondary school teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software applications
- Ability to teach both Nigerian and British curriculum standards
