Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance & Reconciliation Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, performing daily reconciliations, investigating transaction discrepancies, and supporting financial reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong analytical skills, and is passionate about maintaining financial integrity in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily reconciliation of customer transactions, bank settlements, and payment gateway reports.

Investigate and resolve failed, pending, reversed, or disputed transactions.

Monitor transaction accuracy across all payment channels.

Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.

Work closely with operations, customer support, and technology teams to resolve reconciliation issues promptly.

Ensure timely settlement of transactions with partners and service providers.

Assist in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation.

Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliation documentation.

Identify process improvements that enhance reconciliation efficiency and reduce financial risk.

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, reconciliation, banking, or fintech operations.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial reporting.

Experience working with payment gateways, banking platforms, or digital payment systems is an advantage.

Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar applications is desirable.
