We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven Finance Officer to join our dynamic team and support our continued growth in the Nigerian financial sector.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records while processing general ledger transactions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank and ledger reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Process invoices, payment requests, accounts payable, and accounts receivable while monitoring cash flow.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory obligations, and internal control policies.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities alongside internal and external audits.
- Provide actionable financial analysis to management and recommend process improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within microfinance or banking.
- Progress towards or completion of professional qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting or ERP software.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high professional integrity.
