Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records while processing general ledger transactions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank and ledger reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Process invoices, payment requests, accounts payable, and accounts receivable while monitoring cash flow.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory obligations, and internal control policies.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities alongside internal and external audits.
  • Provide actionable financial analysis to management and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 4 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within microfinance or banking.
  • Progress towards or completion of professional qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA.
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting or ERP software.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high professional integrity.
