We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Finance Officer to oversee our financial operations, ensure strict statutory compliance, and maintain audit-ready records for our diverse environmental projects. Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate books of account, ledgers, and financial records for GRENCHI and individual donor-funded projects.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns with the FIRS (PAYE, WHT, VAT, CIT) using the TaxPro-Max platform, alongside Anambra State revenue requirements.
- Support the Executive Director and program leads in developing, tracking, and reporting on organizational and project budgets.
- Prepare timely, accurate financial reports for donors and grant partners, ensuring expenses align with agreements.
- Process payments, manage petty cash, execute monthly bank reconciliations, and administer staff payroll.
- Prepare schedules for internal and external audits and enforce organizational financial policies and internal controls.
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, ideally within an NGO or donor-funded environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Nigerian tax laws, statutory compliance, and hands-on FIRS tax filing platforms.
- Proficiency in modern accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, coupled with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High integrity, exceptional attention to detail, and proven ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
