About the Role
Sharperly Limited is revolutionizing cross-border transactions with our world-class global instant payments solution, making it simple and hassle-free to support loved ones back home. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer with strong experience in foreign exchange trading, tax compliance, and core financial operations to support our growing fintech platform in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily FX trading activities, including currency exchange, risk analysis, and optimal trade execution.
- Develop and implement effective FX hedging strategies to minimize currency risk and monitor exchange rate trends.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, liquidity planning, and process financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare and review financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and support internal and external audits.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of statutory tax filings including VAT, PAYE, and WHT.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants while monitoring regulatory changes to ensure full compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in FX trading and tax compliance within the FinTech industry.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, risk management, and statutory tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial software, advanced Excel, and business reporting tools.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA will be an added advantage.
