About the Role
Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) is seeking a dedicated and analytical Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide technical and financial management functions, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources across our diverse portfolio of development projects in alignment with organizational goals and donor regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement SCIDaR financial strategies, manage monthly project reconciliations, and coordinate month-end reporting cycles.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to plan, budget, monitor costs, and track key financial metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations and statutory requirements, partnering with internal and external auditors to minimize financial risks.
- Prepare periodic payment schedules, statutory deductions remittances, monthly invoices, and billing schedules.
- Maintain information security postures by safeguarding financial data and adhering to institutional policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting, Economics, or related Social Science fields.
- Professional accounting qualification/certification such as ACCA or ICAN.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 1 year in an audit role.
- Proficiency in accounting packages like QuickBooks or SAGE, alongside advanced Microsoft Office skills.
