About the Role

Dalewares Institute of Technology, an Innovation Enterprise Institution (IEI) accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to drive our financial operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong accounting expertise, educational institution experience, and ERP proficiency who can maintain financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic support for institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and student fee management
  • Handle tuition fee collection, receipts, reconciliation, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements compliant with Nigerian accounting standards
  • Prepare and monitor institutional budgets while tracking cash flow and ensuring proper fund allocation
  • Lead ERP implementation and daily operations for fee collection, payroll, and procurement modules
  • Ensure compliance with FIRS, TETFUND, and JAMB/NBTE reporting requirements
  • Manage statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF, WHT) and enforce internal controls
  • Provide financial analysis to support management decision-making on program viability and cost optimization
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and vendors to maintain institutional financial integrity
Qualifications
  • Minimum B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA/ACCA/CPA/ANAN qualification in progress preferred
  • 3-5 years post-NYSC experience with at least 1-2 years in educational institutions or ERP environments
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, or college management systems)
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills with demonstrated analytical capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of educational sector finance, school fee structures, and student billing
  • Proven ability to work independently, maintain tight controls, and deliver results with limited resources
  • Completed NYSC service
