About the Role

We operate in over 70 countries, combining research-driven approaches with strong partnerships to build lasting capacity in communities and countries. Join our Abuja office as a Finance Officer supporting critical health system strengthening projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review financial transactions using DPA, GFAS, or Microsoft Navision, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements
  • Support budget monitoring aligned with approved work plans and donor agreements, analyzing expenditures and preparing financial reports
  • Assist internal and external audits by retrieving documentation, responding to audit queries, and tracking recommendations
  • Provide technical finance support including data collection, compliance testing, and documentation management for health projects
  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, trainings, and field activities; manage vehicle movements and fuel records
  • Perform month-end reconciliations, statutory remittances, and maintain office operations and asset tracking

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 3–5 years relevant experience; or Master's degree with 1–3 years experience
  • Minimum 1–3 years accounting experience with international development or donor-funded programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Navision, Excel, and standard office applications
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and donor compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACA, ACCA) is advantageous
  • Familiarity with DOS-funded programs and NGO operations in Nigeria preferred
