About the Role

Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE) is a leading Nigerian non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities through healthcare, education, nutrition, and economic initiatives. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Officer to oversee financial management, reporting, and administrative operations for our HORTISUN project, ensuring full compliance with AfDB/FAPA and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor, and update project budgets while providing accurate financial projections and forecasts.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records, track expenditures, and ensure robust documentation.
  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in alignment with donor requirements.
  • Implement stringent internal controls to guarantee that all transactions comply with AfDB/FAPA and WEWE guidelines.
  • Manage project cash flow and oversee timely fund disbursements to staff, vendors, and partners.
  • Review procurement financials and approve payments in adherence to established organizational procedures.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and implement recommended corrective measures promptly.
  • Advise management proactively on financial risks, mitigation strategies, and resource optimization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience managing finances for donor-funded development projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AfDB, FAPA, or other multilateral donor financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical, reporting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, professional ethics, and keen attention to detail.
