About the Role

Canary Point Corporate Services Ltd. (CPCSL) is a leading financial services holding company encompassing diverse institutions such as microfinance banks, bureau de change, and investment firms. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Finance Manager to manage day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and controls for one of our subsidiary entities. In this role, you will act as a key business partner to the subsidiary Managing Director, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards while driving overall profitability, cost optimization, and robust financial governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Group standards.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), SEC, and other relevant bodies, coordinating statutory audits and tax filings.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, conducting variance analysis and performance commentaries.
  • Manage entity cash flow, working capital, liquidity ratios, and support strategic fundraising initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the subsidiary finance team while collaborating closely with the Group Financial Controller.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Mandatory professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience within the Nigerian financial services sector, with at least 2 to 3 years in a management role.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of IFRS and CBN regulatory reporting guidelines.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and matrixed communication skills.
