About the Role

Hikima Community Mobilization and Development Initiative (HCOMDI) is a prominent woman-led Non-Governmental Organization established in 2006, operating across Nigeria with a primary focus on Education, Health, and Good Governance. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled Finance and Admin Officer to join our dynamic team and support our ongoing projects. In this pivotal role, you will ensure financial integrity, compliance with donor regulations, and smooth day-to-day administrative functions within our project office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for all project transactions in compliance with organizational and donor procedures.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, journal entries, and process payments for staff, vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Manage and maintain cashbooks, bank books, and execute monthly bank reconciliations while resolving any identified discrepancies promptly.
  • Support the preparation of comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and donor-specific financial reports.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cash forecasting, and financial analysis for various project activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the project office to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory and asset register, supporting periodic physical verification exercises.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Project Manager and other project team members as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of professional experience in accounting and administrative roles, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and donor compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
