About the Role
Maurice Xandra Solutions is recruiting a Finance & Accounting Officer on behalf of our client, a dynamic and growing solar equipment wholesaler and technical training centre based in Lagos. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide robust accounting support across our wholesale and training divisions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledgers, sales and purchase invoices, and proper audit trails.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while supporting budgeting and cashflow forecasting.
- Monitor operating costs, track variances, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and file statutory returns including VAT, WHT, and PAYE in compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
- Support the financial administration of training programmes, inventory accounting, and procurement processes.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles within Nigeria.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, statutory compliance, and inventory accounting.
- Professional qualification or part-qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is a strong added advantage.
