About the Role
Egatee is the leading B2B e-commerce high-tech platform company in Africa, headquartered in Hong Kong with successful operations across Uganda, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, India, and now expanding rapidly in Nigeria. Our mission is to empower retail customers to easily manage commodities, reduce operating costs, and maximize profits using our advanced technical capabilities and global supply chain resources. We are currently looking for a driven, detail-oriented Finance Accountant to join our dynamic team in Abuja and play a pivotal role in driving our financial health and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Handle accurate bank reconciliations, invoicing, and corporate expense tracking.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory remittances.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and continuous cash flow monitoring to support business needs.
- Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Maintain organized and secure financial documentation for audit readiness.
- Provide actionable financial insights and reports to support management decision-making.
- Minimum of a B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of proven professional experience as an Accountant in a fast-paced environment.
- Active professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is a strong added advantage.
- Proficiency in modern accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must currently reside in Abuja or demonstrate a genuine willingness to relocate.
