As a Field Verification Officer, you will play a critical role in mitigating risk by conducting thorough on-site verifications of merchants and loan applicants across Benue State, confirming business locations, and ensuring the absolute accuracy of information provided during the financial onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical, on-site visits to verify merchant and customer business locations.
- Confirm the authenticity of business operations and validate information provided during loan applications.
- Document findings meticulously and submit accurate, timely verification reports to management.
- Support efficient loan processing by strictly adhering to verification timelines and operational benchmarks.
- Investigate discrepancies and promptly escalate any suspicious findings or fraudulent activities.
- Ensure all field verification activities comply with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and banking standards.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc in any related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of proven work experience in field verification, debt recovery, or direct sales within the fintech or commercial banking sector.
- Must currently reside in Benue State, specifically in Kwande, Ukum, or Otukpo.
- Demonstrated physical stamina and willingness to work extensively in the field.
- Strong observation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and deliver error-free documentation under minimal supervision.
