AUT Energy Resources Limited is a leading indigenous Nigerian oil, gas, engineering, construction, and logistics servicing company. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician – Mechanical Engines to join our dynamic technical team. In this vital role, you will provide critical support for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of diesel and gas-powered engines utilized in demanding industrial and oil and gas operations throughout Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of diesel and gas engines to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Perform comprehensive engine overhauls and critical component replacements in accordance with industry standards.
- Diagnose complex mechanical failures accurately and recommend effective, long-lasting solutions.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and timely corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor engine performance metrics and operating parameters continuously.
- Support engine installation, commissioning, and rigorous testing activities on site.
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports and accurate service documentation.
- Ensure strict compliance with OEM recommendations and company HSE requirements at all times.
- Support emergency maintenance requests and rapid field service interventions.
- OND, HND, Trade Test, City & Guilds, or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Possession of HSE 1, 2, and 3 certifications is required.
- 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience maintaining diesel and gas engines.
- Familiarity with major engine brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, Detroit Diesel, and MTU is a strong advantage.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to interpret technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and technical reporting skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel and work at remote project locations across Nigeria when required.
