About the Role
Jaza Energy is expanding its last-mile renewable energy network and is looking for a driven Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing regional technical operations, maintaining robust solar infrastructure, and swiftly resolving site issues to guarantee uninterrupted power access in off-grid communities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maximum energy uptime and power availability by monitoring systems and quickly diagnosing technical faults.
- Support the setup of new solar hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated energy equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and component parts while documenting all field activities.
- Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical performance for submission to leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, though extensive hands-on experience is highly valued.
- 2 to 3 years of practical engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or power sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, and electrical wiring.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a strict commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, MS Office suite, and Google Workspace products.
- Ability to travel extensively within Nigeria and work effectively both independently and within a global team.
