About the Role
Jaza Energy, a pioneering last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is expanding rapidly across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team in Delta State. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing regional technical operations, maintaining robust solar systems, and swiftly resolving site issues to guarantee uninterrupted power and optimal energy uptime at our hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continuous energy uptime and power availability at sites by monitoring systems, diagnosing faults, and executing rapid repairs.
- Support the establishment of new hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Oversee the expert installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, inverters, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and optimize system performance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and product components while thoroughly documenting all field activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports regarding hub health, operational challenges, and technical updates to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, though demonstrated hands-on experience is highly valued.
- 2 to 3 years of proven engineering experience within the renewable energy, solar, or telecommunications sector.
- Strong expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, and electrical wiring.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and compliance.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace for reporting.
