About the Role
Jaza Energy is a leading last-mile energy company dedicated to building solar energy charging stations and renting batteries to off-grid communities. As we rapidly expand our operations in Nigeria, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ogun. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing technical operations, optimizing system performance, and swiftly resolving field issues to guarantee uninterrupted power and maximum energy uptime at our sites and hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continuous energy uptime and power availability by monitoring systems and rapidly diagnosing and solving technical issues.
- Support the setup of new hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine maintenance on hub energy systems through travel or remote troubleshooting.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and local staff to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Document all field activities accurately and maintain comprehensive records of hub equipment and product component inventory.
- Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical issues for submission to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, backed by strong practical experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on technical and engineering experience within the renewable energy, solar, or telecommunications sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, electrical installation, and electrical design.
- Strong commitment to safety and full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software, including the MS Office suite and Google products.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative global team environment.
