About the Role
FairMoney is a leading digital lending platform in Nigeria, providing instant loans and financial services through our innovative Android app. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Recovery / Verification Officer to join our team in Edo State. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing loan portfolios, reducing non-performing loans, and ensuring sustainable financial operations while upholding our commitment to professional customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular field visits to engage with defaulting customers, agents, and merchants to demand payments on overdue accounts.
- Maintain a detailed daily activity log tracking key metrics including right-party contacts, promises to pay, and fulfilled settlements.
- Verify information on overdue arrears and initiate timely follow-up calls and visits to address outstanding issues.
- Negotiate and establish effective payment plans and settlements to prevent accounts from further delinquency.
- Handle customer objections and complaints professionally while collaborating with internal departments for swift issue resolution.
- University degree in a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in consumer loan operations, merchant management, or debt recovery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking tools.
- High self-motivation with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English and local languages.
