About the Role

New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking dedicated Field Officers to expand our life-saving health programs in Kebbi, Nigeria. In this full-time entry-level role, you will play a crucial part in reducing child mortality by encouraging mothers to complete vital infant immunization schedules through conditional cash transfers. You will work directly within local public health clinics and communities in partnership with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage conditional cash transfer disbursements, including beneficiary enrollment, verification of vaccinations, and safe cash handling.
  • Deliver health education and caregiver coaching to promote routine immunizations and address community questions.
  • Conduct clinic and settlement activities, track defaulters, and resolve operational issues in coordination with Field Managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including clinic staff, Imams, and traditional leaders.
  • Monitor supply-side health stocks, report daily shortages, and ensure strict compliance with organizational security protocols.

Qualifications
  • Possess an SSCE, Diploma, CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker), or related qualification.
  • Must be an indigene of the target Local Government Area (LGA) and currently reside in the operational ward.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Hausa, along with local dialects.
  • Proficient in using smartphones, mobile applications, and basic digital tools for data collection and reporting.
  • Demonstrated passion for community development, public health, and reducing infant mortality in Nigeria.
