About the Role
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking dedicated and community-rooted Field Officers in Katsina to expand our life-saving health programs across northern Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing conditional cash transfer initiatives designed to encourage mothers to complete essential infant immunization schedules in cooperation with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll eligible beneficiaries at public clinics using strict criteria and manage cash disbursements safely.
- Deliver health education talks, track vaccine schedules, and verify health cards.
- Conduct community engagement, address local barriers to vaccination, and prevent fraud.
- Track defaulters, resolve clinic-level issues, and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders and healthcare staff.
- Perform daily security checks, follow organizational protocols, and report incidents promptly.
- Education: SSCE, Diploma, CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker), or a related qualification with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken Hausa and relevant local dialects.
- Location: Must be an indigene of the target Local Government Area (LGA) and currently reside in the operational ward.
- Technical & Financial Skills: Proficient with smartphones, Microsoft Excel, Word, and highly diligent with cash management.
