About the Role
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Field Officer to join our team in Gombe. In this entry-level role, you will play a crucial part in implementing health-related cash transfer programs designed to save lives by encouraging mothers to complete their infants' vital immunization schedules in partnership with local health authorities.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll eligible beneficiaries at public clinics using strict criteria and maintain accurate enrollment logs.
- Verify infant vaccinations, check health cards, and educate caregivers on immunization benefits and schedules.
- Manage conditional cash transfers safely, ensuring fraud prevention and proper boundary control.
- Conduct community engagement activities, address local vaccination barriers, and track attendance at health campaigns.
- Monitor clinic supply stocks, report shortages daily, and maintain positive relationships with local leaders and health staff.
- Follow all organizational security protocols, conduct daily safety checks, and report incidents promptly.
- Minimum of an SSCE, Diploma, CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker), or a related qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience, with prior NGO experience considered an advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken Hausa, alongside local dialects.
- Must be an indigene of the target LGA and currently reside in the operational ward.
- Proficient with smartphones, mobile applications, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
