About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and resilient Field Loan Collections Officer to join our team in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct extensive fieldwork by visiting defaulting borrowers at their physical business locations to secure loan repayments within agreed contractual timelines.
- Engage and negotiate effectively with customers to facilitate debt recovery in line with established loan agreements and company policies.
- Manage the recovery of assets, items, or goods serving as collateral for loan defaults, strictly adhering to approved regulatory procedures.
- Prepare, document, and submit accurate daily reports on customer engagements, recovery metrics, and escalated complex cases.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, ethical conduct, and compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal policies.
- Proven professional experience in field debt recovery, loan collections, or a similar field-based financial services role.
- Strong knowledge of effective negotiation techniques, conflict resolution, and loan default management processes.
- Exceptional communication skills with fluency in both English and Nigerian Pidgin to engage diverse business owners.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed challenging recovery targets while maintaining a professional and empathetic customer relationship.
- High level of integrity, self-management, and the ability to work independently under pressure in the Abuja region.
