About the Role
4 Quarters Consultants Limited, a trusted provider of ISO consultancy and technical solutions, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Engineer - Mechanical to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our clients' heavy-duty generator fleets and mechanical systems while adhering strictly to international quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs across a diverse generator fleet including fuel, cooling, lubrication, and exhaust systems.
- Execute mechanical installations of gensets, managing positioning, mounting, alignment, and connections according to OEM specifications.
- Respond promptly to client sites for breakdown troubleshooting, minimizing downtime and maintaining high service delivery standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, utilizing permit-to-work systems and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
- Complete accurate service checklists, maintenance reports, and parts utilization records in a timely manner.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduation hands-on experience in diesel and gas generator engine maintenance, projects, and site servicing.
- Demonstrated experience working with major global engine brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, MWM, Jenbacher, Volvo, and Scania.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the flexibility to travel to client sites across Nigeria on short notice.
