About the Role

JMG, a global leader in power generation and official partner of top-tier brands like FG Wilson and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is looking for a skilled Field Electrical Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering world-class power solutions by ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and reliability of diesel generators and associated electrical systems for our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on diesel generator electrical systems, main alternators, control panels, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
  • Configure and test generator control modules such as DCP, Power Wizard, EasyGen, and Deep-Sea or InteliLite ATS controllers.
  • Manage synchronization processes between multiple diesel generators and grid power supplies.
  • Perform site load balancing, electrical testing to prevent wet stacking, and execute routine preventive and corrective servicing.
  • Handle basic mechanical servicing tasks including oil top-ups, filter replacements, and radiator cleaning.
  • Document site visits accurately, obtain customer sign-offs, and report job completions promptly to line managers and the help desk.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and maintain assigned tools, PPE, and service vehicles.
Qualifications
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in site electrical operations within the power supply or generator manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems, ATS units, and control modules for major generator brands like Perkins or Mitsubishi.
  • Familiarity with Leroy Somer, Stamford, and Marelli main alternators and associated testing equipment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and timely project execution across field locations in Nigeria.
