About the Role
Moniepoint Inc. is digitizing Africa's real economy by building an innovative financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our team in the South West region. In this role, you will be instrumental in onboarding viable businesses, evaluating credit risk, and managing loan portfolios to ensure high repayment performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, engage, and onboard viable businesses within your assigned geographical area to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Review, analyze, and approve or decline loan requests by thoroughly evaluating data based on the 5Cs of credit, with a focus on capacity, character, and capital.
- Conduct physical visits to potential and active borrowers' business premises to inspect inventory, review business books, and assess turnover.
- Monitor active loan portfolios to maintain healthy gross loan targets, minimize default rates, and ensure timely repayments.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management regarding loan facilities before, during, and after disbursement, factoring in current economic conditions.
- Minimum of an OND in any business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven sales experience dealing with credit products within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial evaluation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Must reside in one of our target locations across Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, or Oyo states, and indicate your preferred location on your CV.
