HTL Africa, a renowned afro-centric architecture practice with hubs in Lagos and Johannesburg, is looking for a strategic Business Development Manager. We are seeking a visionary professional who can identify new markets, foster robust client relationships, and position our firm for high-impact projects across local and global stages.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, emerging markets, and strategic partnerships for local and international architectural projects.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, investors, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including drafting compelling pitches, presentations, and tender submissions.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Design and multidisciplinary teams to align business development strategies with the firm's creative vision.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to track industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth vectors in the architecture and urban development sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the architecture, real estate, or creative industries.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully expanding market reach and securing high-value contracts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a strong command of English.
- A deep appreciation for afro-centric design, sustainable urbanism, and architectural innovation.
