About the Role
Moniepoint Inc. is digitising Africa’s real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our team in the South East region. In this exciting role, you will onboard viable businesses, drive our credit products, and conduct thorough risk assessments based on the 5Cs of credit—with a strong focus on capacity, character, and capital. You will play a pivotal part in growing our loan portfolio while maintaining profitability and ensuring low default rates.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, engage, and onboard viable businesses within your assigned geographical area to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Review, analyze, and approve or decline loan requests using available data and innovative monitoring tools.
- Conduct physical visitations to potential and active borrowers' business locations to evaluate business books, inventory, and turnover.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio and profitability targets by maintaining a healthy, performing customer base.
- Monitor active loans continuously to ensure proper account utilization and timely repayment performance.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management regarding loan facilities before, during, and after disbursement.
- Minimum of an OND in any business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a sales role for credit products within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial evaluation.
- Must be resident in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, or Imo states, with specific preferred local coverage areas.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and perseverance.
