About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building an innovative financial ecosystem for businesses. We are seeking a results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our dynamic team in Ogun. In this role, you will be instrumental in onboarding viable businesses, driving loan portfolio growth, and ensuring healthy repayment rates through rigorous credit risk assessment and physical site evaluations.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, recruit, and onboard viable businesses within the assigned geographical area of Ogun State to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Review, analyze, and make sound recommendations on loan requests by evaluating the 5Cs of credit, with a primary focus on character, capacity, and capital.
- Conduct physical visitations to borrowers' business locations to assess business books, evaluate inventory, and analyze turnover.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio and profitability targets while maintaining a low default rate and ensuring a healthy, performing portfolio.
- Monitor active loan portfolios continuously to ensure sustained account utilization and timely loan repayments.
- Minimum of an OND in any business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in credit product sales within a financial institution.
- Must be resident in Ogun State with strong local market knowledge.
- Demonstrable expertise in credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
