About the Role
Afconrecruit Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Fibre Optics Technician to join our dynamic tech team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced fiber optic network systems within a designated 20-kilometer OLT coverage radius. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, minimal downtime, and reliable technical services for our growing client base.
Key Responsibilities- Install, test, and maintain fiber optic cables and networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform precise splicing, termination, and troubleshooting of fiber lines.
- Respond promptly to service calls and resolve complex connectivity issues.
- Collaborate closely with sales and customer support teams to deliver exceptional client service.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks, system expansions, and necessary upgrades.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and industry technical standards.
- Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of proven mid-level experience as a Fibre Optics Technician or in a similar telecommunications role.
- Strong technical knowledge of OLTs, fiber tools, cable types, connectors, and network architecture.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network layouts.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
