About the Role
Ngcom Network Solutions Ltd, a leading internet service provider delivering unlimited connectivity to home and corporate users across Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fibre Engineer. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in expanding and maintaining our robust fiber optic infrastructure, ensuring seamless high-speed internet delivery to our valued customers in Warri, Asaba, and Ibadan.
Key Responsibilities- Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables efficiently across various network architectures.
- Carry out seamless FTTH installations and timely customer activations.
- Troubleshoot complex fiber faults and restore network services promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance on existing fiber infrastructure.
- Perform advanced fiber testing using OTDR, power meters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Install and configure ONTs/ONUs and related customer premises equipment.
- Prepare comprehensive installation, maintenance, and fault resolution reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with company safety protocols and high-quality telecommunication standards.
- OND, HND, or B.Sc. degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional experience in FTTH and fiber optic installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Demonstrated expertise in fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and systematic fault troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of GPON and FTTH network topologies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Must currently reside in or be fully willing to relocate to Warri, Asaba, or Ibadan.
