About the Role
Zichis Agro Allied Industries Plc is a leading integrated Nigerian agro-industrial company operating across key segments of the agricultural value chain, including poultry, aquaculture, oil palm, crop production, and animal feed. We are currently seeking an experienced, results-driven, and highly motivated Feed Mill Production Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our commercial poultry feed mill. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient production, consistent feed quality, effective manpower utilization, and adherence to stringent safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily feed mill production activities to achieve set targets.
- Manage the production of high-quality poultry feed in strict accordance with approved feed formulations and standards.
- Supervise the receiving, handling, weighing, batching, grinding, mixing, pelleting, and packaging of feed materials.
- Monitor production processes continuously to minimize wastage, contamination, and operational losses.
- Ensure raw materials and finished feeds are properly handled, stored, and accurately accounted for.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate feed mill production staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Ensure proper operation, cleaning, and routine maintenance of all feed mill machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control, Procurement, Warehouse, and Farm teams to streamline production operations.
- Maintain accurate production records, including raw-material usage, output, wastage, and finished-feed quantities.
- Implement proactive measures to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enforce strict workplace health and safety procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree, HND, or equivalent in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Agricultural Science, Feed Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in animal feed production, with a strong focus on poultry feed.
- Practical, hands-on knowledge of feed mill operations, raw material handling, and storage.
- Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital production record-keeping.
