About the Role
Ajoke Group Limited, a foremost key player in the supply chain and distribution of FMCG products across Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Farm Manager to lead our agricultural operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily farm activities, optimizing crop and livestock production, and ensuring that all resources are managed efficiently to maximize profitability and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily farm operations and activities to ensure maximum productivity.
- Supervise farm workers, allocate duties appropriately, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Monitor crop production and livestock activities, ensuring proper planting, cultivation, harvesting, feeding, and breeding practices.
- Manage the use, maintenance, and procurement of farm equipment, tools, machinery, seeds, feeds, fertilizers, and medications.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, labor, inventory, expenses, and supplies while monitoring overall operational costs.
- Ensure strict compliance with applicable agricultural, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks such as pests, diseases, and adverse weather conditions to prevent production losses.
- Monitor production performance and provide regular, comprehensive reports to senior management with actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, Farm Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in commercial farm management within Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of modern agricultural techniques, crop cultivation, and livestock management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and manage a diverse team of farm workers.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and record-keeping abilities with keen attention to detail.
