About the Role
Aldelano Organic Foods is pioneering clean, green farming through hydroponically grown, organic greenhouse produce that delivers superior quality and taste compared to traditional farming methods. We are currently seeking hardworking, disciplined, and reliable Farm Attendants to support the daily production of open-field habanero peppers and greenhouse bell peppers at Aldelano Farms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare land, beds, and planting areas, and maintain grow bags for open-field habanero and greenhouse bell pepper operations.
- Transplant seedlings carefully, replace weak plants, and support manual or automated irrigation and fertigation systems.
- Train, stake, tie, prune, and weed plants while scouting continuously for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Harvest mature peppers meticulously, ensuring careful sorting, weighing, and packing to prevent bruising or contamination.
- Maintain strict hygiene, biosecurity, and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and chemical safety guidelines.
- Minimum of primary or secondary school education with proven physical fitness to work outdoors and inside greenhouses.
- Previous experience in vegetable, greenhouse, or open-field farming is an advantage.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, make simple farm records, and report problems promptly.
- Strong teamwork, punctuality, honesty, and a willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- Must be immediately available to resume work.
