About the Role
Cedarcrest Hospitals, a leading modern specialist medical center located in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Physician to join our growing healthcare team. As a Family Physician, you will play a pivotal role in delivering continuous, comprehensive medical care to individuals and families, serving as the first point of contact for patients and coordinating specialized treatments when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic, patient-centered primary healthcare services to outpatients and inpatients of all ages.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Manage chronic conditions, provide preventative care, and offer health education and counseling to patients.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal specialists including orthopaedics, internal medicine, surgery, and radiology.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date electronic medical records for all patients.
- Participate in emergency medical responses and on-call duties as scheduled by the hospital management.
- Ensure compliance with international best practices, clinical governance, and hospital protocols.
- Possess a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized institution.
- Must be fully licensed with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a current practicing license.
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g., FMCGP, FWACP, or equivalent certification in Family Medicine).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a reputable healthcare facility.
