About the Role
Charleson Luxury Hotels, a premier hospitality brand in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is looking for a dynamic and proactive Facility Officer to join our exceptional team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the pristine condition of our 32-room resort-styled hotel, ensuring that our facilities—including our infinity pool, fine dining restaurant, fitness center, and event spaces—operate seamlessly to deliver a therapeutic and luxurious experience for our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel buildings, guest rooms, and recreational amenities.
- Supervise contractors, technicians, and maintenance staff to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely project completion.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems to guarantee optimal functionality and compliance with health regulations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments, resolving issues with minimal disruption to the guest experience.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and equipment, coordinating procurement as needed.
- Ensure all facility operations adhere strictly to safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proven working experience as a Facility Officer or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the hospitality or resort sector.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication, organizational, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
